Local Park

Post by Kitana_Matsuri on Thu 15 Apr 2010, 06:28

With a wide field for local sports players to set up games and a playground for kids, the local park is deceptively big despite its modest appearance. Around the perimeter is a biking trail more than 3km long that takes the morning jogger past bountiful trees and the occasional pond.

Please refrain from littering and remember hours are from Sunrise to Sunset.

Re: Local Park

Post by Orochi on Thu 15 Apr 2010, 06:59

Orochi Looked at the clear blue skies as he made his way toward a curved road, were a big open space and some stairs ha been built by the townspeople. Looking closely Orochi noticed that the structure of the area seemed to enclose some kind of metallic bars.

Marveling at this small discovery Orochi quickly ran down the stairs in order to go toward the off looking bars. He hadn’t seen anything like it in Soul Society. The bars were erected perpendicularly on some parts, and parallel on others. It looked like bars and bars that had been put together to help humans to train. He started to wonder if this was a Gym or not.

The bars were mostly green and red, blue, yellow. There were some connections that had been slanted, and what looked like a ramp had been set up. Orochi wondered why they would place a ramp that lead nowhere at that spot. Looking closer at other structures, there were bars that ran parallel to the ground, curving and ending abruptly on two perpendicular bars in comparison to the floor.

There was something that looked like a house, and had somewhat of a roof, but it only had what looked like stairs, and a long tube.

“What is the point of all of this?” Orochi wondered aloud, when suddenly a few little kids had made their way to the playground and had started to use the weird structures.

One of the kids had gotten on this spinning roulette that was stuck to the ground, and had fallen. The little kid started to cry, and compassionately Orochi walked toward the kid and asked him if he was alright. Apparently the kid was crying because he felt, not because he was hurt, therefore Orochi just asked the kid if his parents were around, and then let him know to take better care of himself before patting him on the head, and letting him be.

A little girl that had come with the kid had run toward her friend “Hey we’re not supposed to talk to strangers!” She told the little boy as she gave Orochi this distrustful look. She was apparently a strong girl with a lot of conviction in her.

Orochi then noticed the ground was all made of earth, it was not paved, providing somewhat of a soft cushion for the kids who fell form the strange structures as they played with them.

This must be what humans call a park. Thought Orochi as he looked forward toward what seemed to look like a forest. The park looked pretty small from the top of where he had come from, but as Orochi ventured in, he found himself almost lost in the woods. It was a compelling little enigma. Apparently, the small park was deceptively big.

The laughter and cries from the little kids were not audible anymore, as what was left was the rustling of the leaves, and the occasional blinding ray of light that found their way to the ground, as they passed through the shields that the leaves of the trees provided.

The rustling of the trees gave Orochi a sort of calming effect. He took a deep breath and took all the serenity in. He was familiar with this, he had liked nature and trees. A warm breeze whooshed through Orochi’s body, as the silence allowed him to meditate. It had been a peaceful week as of late.

Orochi closed his eyes, as he leaned on one of the trees around him. The cool wood, and the shade provided by the leaves had allowed Orochi to feel at rest.

Ah the park. Such a relaxing place to be. This was a perfect spot to clear his mind off from Shinigami work. The birds were chirping, the squirrels were chasing each other, nothing could ruin this moment. Ichigo casually walked along the trails admiring the nature around him. Indeed it was a beautiful park to go to. So much to do here. One could take a walk or jog. Play a game of soccer. Or just take a nap on this freshly cut grass.

Then he noticed Orochi up ahead and decided to talk to him. He waved at Orochi and smiled. "OROCHI!" he yelled. "Ah what a beautiful day it is. Don't you agree?" He took a deep breath to smell the fresh air as he exhale with a sigh of relief. "So, what are you up to today?"

If anyone accused him of taking a liking to the living world, heads would roll. He had reasons for being here even if they weren’t in reaction to Shinigami activity. The Sexta would not have those holier-than-thou menaces be the bane of his existence. He could think for himself and that’s what he was doing. What brought the most trouble were hollows on the loose, and not the kind that would ever benefit anyone. In fact, he was pretty sure that if these invasions on the real world continued, Shinigami would flood right back into Hueco Mundo to exterminate them all. Not like the dead haven’t been reviving themselves, but Grimmjow didn’t want to take a chance on that. Certain deaths of even the strongest Espada have remained that way. Why the Cuatro came back was anyone’s guess. Regardless, it wasn’t like you saw Starrk mulling about or even Baraggan for that matter.

Not that he wanted to admit it, but there was a lack of powerful entities on their side. An invasion of Shinigami would only end brutally and not in his favor. He wasn’t out to invite anyone but the very few he already swore he’d kill. Until that moment came, a little prevention for the sake of his own future fights would have to be done. Still though, if he ran into a Shinigami geared to fight him, he’d damn well do it. One on one was his kinda thing, no prey stealing scum and no chance for interruption.

So while he trailed about in his natural body, no gigai attached, there was a looming sense of danger just fit for him tickling along his neck. He could practically smell the pin points of reiatsu emanating off a few choice people. One of which he definitely recognized and another that he’d never noticed before. For all intents and purposes, they happened to be in the same vicinity. Surely not a problem unless some weak hoard of hollows came about.

Frankly, he didn’t want Shinigami to see him demolishing his own kind. They’d get the wrong idea, like he was helping them or some other form of bullshit akin to that. Nope, he was only going out for his own benefit so a good fight would be secured in his future. It was already deigned that he needed to grow stronger. Getting his ass tossed around by some kind eyed brat would never in hundreds of years sit well with him. He wanted the beast he knew Kurosaki was and that was that. The fact Ulquiorra got to see that shit go down first hand was still burning a nasty taste in his mouth. Speaking of the Cuatro, he’d kill that Aizen-boot-licker too. Grimmjow was glad their ‘fearless leader’ was gone. He damn well hoped it stayed that way.

A scowl never left his face, thoughts preventing any kind of harmony to remain even as he stalked by sakura trees and the fluttering petals which they bore. Soft winds even tried to tempt his mood into a more relaxed state, only leaving him to the conclusion that the human world was nothing more than a conspiracy to make everyone a tree hugging patsy.

Grimmjow was impervious to these tactics. Gladly so, as he had no desire to pet the little critters and save little animals from all the big bad hollows on a rampage. That was not his job nor in his interests, thus it would never happen. It wasn’t like there were exotic animals here anyway. A panther he’d get a kick out of playing with. Big cats were just nasty little things and hunters to the core. He could see himself refraining from killing one lest it bite him. Then it was game over.

Yet he felt mildly poisoned just then, his feet stopping immediately as a pond to his left caught patches of sunlight. The fact he just entertained playing with any living creature was definitely a warning sign, his own breed of origins be damned. Quickly he started back up again, the pace brisk as he was definitely sure about the conspiracy of this world. Yup, it was hazardous alright. No wonder Ulquiorra went soft on that girl. She was from here and practically embodied it. If that wasn’t sickening, he didn’t know what was.

Upon the clearing he spotted, two forms seemed to join together for some mindless chit-chat. What gave him a mild surprise was how his instincts carried him to impending danger, which he no doubt preferred, but the time in between seemed to vanish. Quickly he gathered himself, stuffing away brainless ponderings and revving up to give a good fight as he’d surely be spotted. There was no way he’d let himself be caught defenseless because he was thinking too much, of all the damnable things.

Re: Local Park

Post by Orochi on Sat 17 Apr 2010, 04:42

Orochi was taken by surprise. In his time of meditation he had been interrupted by No other than Kurosaki Ichigo.

Well well well… think of the devil…

Orochi slightly turned his head toward where Kurosaki Ichigo’s voice had come from, as he opened one eye and looked at ichigo. To his surprise Ichigo had a smile on his face as he greeted Orochi, waving his hand. It was not necessarily anything that he had ever seen from him. In fact, Orochi had never had ichigo wave at him at any point in time. It usually seemed to him that Kurosaki didn’t really like to have him around by the way he usually answered to him talk.

True, Ichigo still talked to him, and had treated him nice in the fact that he didn’t ignore his shortcomings, as well as his childish antics; but greeting him cheerfully? Orochi gave a calm smile as he switched his weight from leaning on the tree to standing on his feet, he unfolded his arms and opened his other eye as he twisted his body and faced Ichigo.

“Yo Kurosaki-kun” Said Orochi as he returned Ichigos’s wave with a single movement of his hand, holding his hand up for a few seconds before bringing it back down and then walking toward Ichigo and stopping in front of him, as ichigo continued his greeting.

“It is a beautiful day I was just enjoying the weather, and the rich nature that surrounds us at this moment.” He said as he put his hands in his pocket and looked up at the leaves of the trees. The occasional ray of light shining into Orochi’s eyes from different spots, as the leaves made way from the light to shine in randomly from the small crevices that would be created by their movements. The slow swaying movements of the leaves had long been soothing Orochi’s mind had now been complimented by the sight of the dancing leaves up above in the canopy of the deceptively small looking park.

It was a huge place that simply looked small form above. How his senses would lie to him in such a crude way. Orochi showed peace in his face as he gazed back down to face Ichigo. “This place is beautiful…” Orochi said calmly, not sounding like the usual self that he portrayed to Ichigo whenever he was around.

Orochi gazed around the park as he looked at the tall trunks, and the small patches of grass and soft soil around him. The soft breeze that brushed is skin and cooled down the warmth of his Gigai’s skin-like shell. The gigais were so wonderfully made, that they literally simulated everything that a human body could do. He had to really give it to the science team to have been able to make such wonderful bodies.

Orochi then turned toward one of his sides while still talking to Kurosaki “How often do you find yourself in here, ichigo?”

Suddenly a strong reiatsu, dark and heavy could be felt from the vicinity, as orochi turned toward the pond, where the light reflected itself and danced playfully on the water surface. The reflection of the light glistening and sparkling with such intensity that, if Orochi paid attention to his surroundings at this moment, one could swear they could hear the water sparkle.

The sky, so blue and clear with the occasional thin strip of white smeared cirrus clouds, almost invisible unless gazed upon with the mindset of finding every detail in the sky had allowed for the scorching sun to shine with all its might. The combination of the sun, and the light breeze had indeed made this a superb weather.

“Ichigo, please take care of me…” He said as he took out a piece of soul candy, and out came the spirit of Orochi. A male wearing a black kimono with a katana strapped to his side, and a white aura outline that surrounded his spiritual form as he separated himself from the gigai. The body had fallen unconscious, and a few seconds later it had gotten up. “My my, I wonder where all the pretty ladies are at…” Wondered the Gigai as Orochi simply stared toward the source of the dark aura.

Orochi then disappeared in a set of lines as he reappeared in front of the arrancar. Going by the files that he had registered before, this one had the face of Grimjow, the Espada number six, which made him somebody who had to be taken seriously.

What would the espada be dong in here at this day and moment he did not know, but he wished to have this fight done with so he could enjoy of a nice leisurely day when the weather had been as fine as this day’s. Orochi glared at the blue haired Arrancar as he carefully grabbed the hilt of his sword, as the arrancar seemed already too ready to start a fight. No questions would be needed as of this moment.

“Kin Orochi, thirteenth seat of the ninth squad…” He said with a serious face, and was about to ask him what he was doing there, but they had been ordered to eliminate hollows and Arrancars that made their way into the human world without further questions. They were, after all deemed dangerous by Soul Society. “And you are?” Orochi then asked after a brief pause, his hand still in position to draw out his sword if anything were to happen. Luckily, removing the limiters had become a piece of cake ever since the barrier’s weakening had been discovered. All he needed to do was just say the words.

The limiters had been placed however; for the sake of keeping the regulations intact.

A soft wind blew a few blades of grass in front of them, twirling in the wind and they made a single loop before they kept on flying their own way. A single blade landed on the water, and created a small ripple that coursed around the surface.

Ichigo nodded in agreement. "Indeed it is." Everywhere around them was beautiful. A warm breeze passed through Ichigo's hair as he smiled. The leaves on the trees were dancing with the wind, the grass blades moved back and forth with the wind. This was indeed natures work. The temperture was seasonable, which meant the possiblity of doing a lot of activities. Everywhere you look, someone was doing something. There was an old sitting on the bench. Like a tyical old man, he tear a piece of bread and threw it on the ground. Birds everywhere were eager to get a bite out of the bread.

Up ahead, there were joggers on the path. They seem they were into it as their faces were serious. It is as if they were preparing for some kind of competition. He heard childrens laughing, as he saw a group of kids playing soccer. One kid kicked it so hard that it landed in front of him. One of kid waved his hand and yelled, "A little help?" He grinned as he kick the ball back at the kids and they continued playing.

Then Orochi asked a question of how often he goes here. "Hmm let's see. Well when I'm not doing any hollow business, I usually come here once or twice a week, depending on the weather. It gives me a chance to relax as well as clear my thoughts. This is a big park, so there is always a place where one can be in peace." Then he noticed that something caught Orochi's attention as Ichigo looked around. "Something wrong?" Something was wrong. Suddenly, he felt a dark reiastus nearby, and wondered if this is what Orochi noticed as well. Ichigo didn't even get a chance to speak, as Orochi released his spirit form and told him to keep an eye out for his Gigai. "Sonavabitch."

He decided to see what the hell was going on, and look around. He didn't want to cause a seen and waited for the coast to be clear. Lucky for him, he took the soul candy from Kon, just in case he needs it. He put the soul candy in his mouth and his spirit form came out. He looked at Kon who was now in Ichigo body and nodded. "Keep an eye out on him." He pointed over to Orochi's gigai. Kon saluted him like an army guy and said, "Leave it to me." Ichigo nodded and headed to the area where the reiastus was.

He arrived next to Orochi and saw the source of the reiastus. Ichigo was speechless. Right in front of them, was Grimmjow, but not in his gigai surprisingly. It seems everytime Ichigo goes somewhere, Grimmjow was always there. "You gotta be fucking kidding me. What the hell are you doing here?" To safe, he placed his hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto and looked at Orochi. "Careful, Orochi. This one is a toughy. Be on guard." He looked back at Grimmjow and waited for his responds.

Before he knew it, he was given a name and the seated position which all in all, did not impress him. The arrancar snorted, a look of disregard written across his face. Now Kurosaki was a challenge; this brat was just asking to be humbled in all the wrong ways. It didn’t take long before the Vizard with no life but being in every place he had to be showed up, cursing his existence in much the same way he was about to. He didn’t even get the chance to give his name before a myriad of whining spewed from the freak’s mouth.

“The hell ya mean by that, Shinigami?” He spared the vibrant haired teen a dark yet vaguely playful look. “Don’t think I’m interested in following your worthless ass all day. Why I’m here aint none of yer’ business.”

Grimmjow shoved a hand in one of his pockets, his stance relaxed and clearly non-threatened. While he had a decent explanation for himself, the Sexta figured it best to leave that out. Confusion was a big no-no he did not care to deal with. Explaining his actions to Shinigami weaker than him was even more of a fat chance. A sidelong smirk etched across his face in a languid fashion, dually noting the way this Orochi kid was set to pounce on him. Of course with Kurosaki as backup, he’d be in for the long haul.

Yet he decided to try and throw off the new Shinigami, at least giving it a shot before bothering to waste his time. “Not that I wanna play with kids today, but ya seem geared for a good ass kicking.” His ever manic grin split open as he gave a feral look. “Grimmjow Jeagerjaques. Sexta Espada.”

Pantera sat patiently across his hip, the light thrum of reiatsu stroking along his nerves as a way to rev them up. Adrenaline dully seeped into his blood, the steady flow more than ready to give him an excruciating dose when the time called for it.

“Tell ya right now kid, if ya leave yer safety net behind,” He motioned toward Kurosaki with a casual tilt of his head. “My name is going to be the last thing you remember.”

Every word was a silken purr bathed in violent blood lust.

When it came down to it, he couldn’t deny his instincts or repress the desire to throttle any opposing force. While he didn’t expect much from this fool, he may as well play while the opportunity presented itself.

Re: Local Park

"Kurosaki-kun, would you please make sure that the children are not harmed?"

Orochi said with a rather calm tone to him. "Grimjow... sexta espada... I guess it is nice to make acquaintances with you" Orochi said with a rather calm tone, a relaxed smile crossed his face. "I'm sorry but i've been ordered to eliminate any espada that might cross into this world, and since you're not on that gigai I saw you in at the store back then..." Orochi disappeared from sight and reappeared in front of grimjow. "I'll have to eliminate you" Orochi said as he performed a quick draw of his sword as he slashed toward grimjow, quickly re-sheathing his zanpakutou after he was done with one slash, the art of the ‘iai’, not necessarily Orochi’s specialty, but he had indeed practiced by himself on how to use the sword a little more skillfully.

As far as anybody in the Gotei 13 was concerned, Orochi had never once released his shikai to others to see, though this didn’t mean he didn’t have one, nor did it mean he didn’t know how to use it, the reason why he had never done so, and the reason why he had always hid his reiatsu and kept it at certain levels, was in order for him to actually stay othe13th seat of his division.

Truth, the 13th seat of any division is not an impressive one at all, but at the same time, 1e was orochi’s favorite number. You could rather say that the seating for him was more of a matter of choice, rather than something he was appointed to.

Orochi had remembered the face, after all the gigai did look like him in the spirit form. But never did Orochi really look him up after the incident, leaving the man's identity a secret to be uncovered later. Well at least Orochi knew now who he was.

Orochi Then used Shunpo again to move back as he created a distance between himself and Grimjow, hoping that Ichigo would take are of the human kids that were playing around the park. It would be a pity to have one so young die because of a random hollow battle.

Much less did he want wandering souls to die unfairly from this fight. Hopefully there were no souls like those. But if there were, it was up to Ichigo to keep them from dying; maybe even performing soul burial to avoid any problems would be good. By the looks of this guy's reiatsu he was a very strong opponent, and he would have a lot of trouble fighting him, however he had never had any training with Kurosaki ichigo, and this caused him to wish he would not just dash into battle at the same time, for the last thing that he wanted was for the two of them to end up harming each other for lack of teamwork.

Orochi’s hand still held the hilt of his zanpakutou, as he readied himself in case grimjow decided to retaliate and he needed to defend himself, his reiatsu levels still on the down low. For now he had to keep it this way.
